It's Been A Long Time

It's been awhile since I have been on here. Haven't really done much crafting over the year….a few project here and there but nothing really to speak of. I guess I was just totally burned out. Have any of you felt like that?

My husband and I went on an Alaskan Cruise, which was wonderful.
Brown Bears

We rebuilt our shed…which was actually not that easy.

My oldest son bought a house, got engaged and adopted a puppy.
He is laying his head on my sweetheart, Cobi.

My middle son became a 2nd grade teacher. The youngest is working with Americorp/St Bernard Project refurbishing houses that were destroyed by Sandy. My granddaughter turned 5 this year and started Kindergarten.
First day of school.

It has been an eventful year.

I need to get back into the crafting, but I have to clean up the craft area. I am sure you know what I am talking about. This, however, may take some time. I would love to hear some words of encouragement from anyone who, by chance, is reading this.

Thanks for stopping by.

Another Project...

Many years ago, there was a group of girls (woman) that were all neighbors/friends when our kids were younger. Several of them had moved away through the years and as life has it, we lost touch..that is until last year. We have been trying to get together about every month or two and go out for dinner and catch up. Well, two months ago, we decided to have a craft night and they asked me to help them with making terra cotta pot people.

Here they are:

This is mine:

What do you think? We all thought they came out cute.

It was a fun night for everyone. I think they are all looking forward to getting them outside and putting a plant in them. I will do that as soon as I get mine back from work (they are using it for a sample).

Just wanted to share. Thanks for dropping by. Please leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts.

I've been taking a break…working on other things.

I haven't been around as you can see. I have been working on other things which I would like to share with you.

Deco Mesh Wreaths:

I also made about 5 more that I didn't photograph.

And no, they were not for me.

I also made some wreaths and pocket baskets:

That pretty much took care of January for me.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my creations. If you have any questions or comments about them, I would love to hear them.

I'll be sharing some other projects also.

Thanks for stopping by.

CardzTV Go-to Galz Linky Party "Winter Wonderland"

Happy December! (Where did this year go?) Winter is just around the corner, can you believe it? Although I really don't want to see any snow any time too soon, that's what our challenge at CardzTV is all about…"Winter Wonderland!" Challenges last 2 weeks and Mary will give away a set of stamps to the winner.

I made a card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:

Cardstock: White, Green and Red
Dearie Dolls Digital Image "Let It Snow!"
Spectrum Noir Markers
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Christmas Joy, "JOY"
Sizzix Embossing Folder "Snowflakes"
Gold Pigment Ink
Black Pigment Ink
Extra Fine Glitter
Mounting Tape

The falling snow and the snow on the ground is glittered. The base white card is embossed. The image is single mounted. The edges of the image have black pigment ink on them. The sentiment "JOY" is stamped with gold pigment ink, then colored in with markers.

Hope you like this card. I think it turned out cute.

Thanks for dropping by! Please leave a comment.

Baby Shower Favors and Card

Good morning.
I thought I would share with you some favors that I made for a baby shower.  The theme was elephants and giraffe's (can you tell it's a boy? lol). Her colors were blue and orange-yellow. This is what I came up with:

(I hope you can see the embossing on the side).
They are all different:

The gift inside is shower gel and a shower pouf…get it? for a "shower"? lol (I thought it was cute). And I also found 30 (that's how many I made) different types of shower gels!

I made a matching card:

It's says "Congratulations!" inside.

And when I was out getting gift wrap, I found these two shaker rattles:

I thought that they went so well with the theme…lol.

Hope you liked the favors.
Thanks for stopping by. Please leave me a comment, I would love to know what you think.

Have a great rest of the day.

CardzTV Go-to Galz Linky Party

It's another challenge here at CardzTV Go-to Galz Linky Party and we are celebrating "Happy Harvest" (Create a project for Fall or Thanksgiving). The challenge will last 2 weeks and the winner will receive (their choice) one of Mary's wonderful stamp sets. (And believe me, you will have a hard time deciding which one to pick…there are so many terrific sets).

I decided to make a card for Thanksgiving:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:

Cardstock: White, Green, Yellow, Orange and Brown
Dearie Dolls Digital Image
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Going In Circles, "Happy Thanksgiving"
Martha Stewart Glitter: Florentine Gold, Copper and Cinnabar
Mounting Tape
Orange Pigment Ink
Gold Brad

The image is single mounted and the sentiment is double mounted. I don't usually do this, but I used a pre-colored image. I "blinged" it up with some glitter.

I can't believe that it's November and in about 2 weeks it will be Thanksgiving. I will be hosting it this year. How about you? We will have all the favorites…turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, vegetables, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. Oh, it's making me hungry just thinking about it. Yum!

The next Linky party challenge will be in December so don't forget to check back to see what we have planned. In the meantime, join this challenge and maybe you will win one of Mary's stamp sets. Good luck!
